Why we opened this clinic
Jasmine, Gabrielle and Yvonne met working in other downtown Kamloops clinics and referred patients to each other for years — the jaw case to Jasmine, the WorkSafeBC shoulder to Gabrielle, the third-trimester back pain to Yvonne. Northwood exists so that referral takes place down a hallway instead of across town.
The clinic is therapist-owned. There is no chain behind it, no franchise treatment protocol, and no quota on how many patients pass through a room in a day.
How we work
Appointments start and end on time. Treatment plans are explained in ordinary language, including the part where we tell you that you no longer need to come in regularly. If we think another provider is the better answer for what you are dealing with, we will say so and help you get there.
We keep the clinic scent-reduced, our rooms warm, and our schedule honest — if the therapist you want is booked three weeks out, the booking page will show you that rather than hiding it.
Registration and standards
All three of our therapists are Registered Massage Therapists licensed with the College of Complementary Health Professionals of BC. That means an accredited education, provincial board examinations, ongoing continuing education, and a public register you can search by name.
Our treatment records, consent practices and advertising all follow CCHPBC standards. If you ever have a concern about your care, tell us first — and know that you can also raise it directly with the College.
Accepting new patients
All three therapists are currently accepting new patients, including ICBC and WorkSafeBC claims. Book online, or call the clinic and we will find a time that works.
