What it is
Rather than stroking through tissue, your therapist takes up slack and waits, holding a stretch on the fascia for a minute or more at a time. The sensation is unusual on a first appointment: little pressure, a lot of patience.
What a session looks like
Fewer areas, longer holds, and often no oil so that the therapist's hands can stay in contact with one layer. It is commonly combined with trigger point work in the same appointment.
